As part of National Construction Week, 2006, in cooperation with The Devonport Regeneration Community Partnership, Leadbitter visited Parkside Community Technology College to head up a day of construction based activities. More than 40 pupils took part in activities such as building bridges from paper and a construction quiz/discussion, which raised awareness of the opportunities in construction as an occupation and health and safety on site.
As part of this initiative, David Pengelly, Senior Project Manager asked the pupils to design 'Safety' posters for his site in Devonport. Winners were then given the opportunity to visit the site, witness their posters on display and experience a taste of construction with our site team.
