Client: The Royal Shakespeare Company
As part of a £100 million overall master plan to redevelop their facilities in Stratford upon Avon, the Royal Shakespeare Company have redeveloped the Chapel Lane site adjacent to the main theatre.
The design and build works lead to the reconfiguration of the existing Union Building, reconstructing 600m2 of internal space whilst retaining the existing façade and other features. This building will now become the focal point for welcoming professional visitors. In addition a new two-storey building has provided over 1000m2 of floor space for administration areas.
This project formed the initial works which will facilitate the complete refurbishment of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford. |
